Let Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex CLI check available disk space, evaluate build headroom, and stage cleanups with human approval in SpaceWise before a single byte is touched.

See how AI coding agents query available disk headroom, run preflight capacity checks, and stage cleanups with mandatory desktop authorization.

SpaceWise verified live disk capacity for the agent without exposing any private filenames or personal documents.
SpaceWise treats AI coding agents as intelligent draft creators, not root disk administrators.
Agents can only propose cleanup plans. Destructive actions strictly require human approval in the desktop app.
Your active workspace roots and current working directory are strictly protected. Neither files inside nor parent folders can be wiped.
Checks running processes before cleaning. If Xcode, Docker, or simulators are open, their caches are automatically skipped.
Cleanups move items into the SpaceWise Recovery Bin and native OS Trash. No hard unlinking. Instant 1-click restore.
Folder names and paths are stripped of ANSI escape codes, terminal control characters, and truncated to safe lengths.
Communicates over a local Unix domain socket or Windows Named Pipe with 256-bit unguessable tokens. Zero cloud telemetry.
Typed Zod schemas with deterministic outputs, zero hallucinated paths, and live visual gateway feedback.
Clear answers about safety, privacy, containment, and agent execution.
No. SpaceWise uses bidirectional containment: workspace roots advertised by your IDE or CLI and your current working directory cannot be touched or traversed upward. Furthermore, agents can only draft dry-run plans; every cleanup requires your explicit approval in the desktop application.
Files are evacuated to the SpaceWise Recovery Bin (~/.spacewise/recovery-bin/) and your native OS Trash. No permanent rm -rf is ever executed. You can restore any cleaned target with one click from the Activity tab.
The call immediately returns pending_approval without blocking or touching any file. SpaceWise fails closed; only plans explicitly approved by you inside the desktop app can be executed.
Never. SpaceWise MCP operates entirely on your local machine over an authenticated Unix domain socket (or Windows named pipe) with owner-only (0600) permissions. Zero external telemetry, zero network tracking.
For Claude Code, run: claude mcp add spacewise -- npx -y spacewise-mcp. For Cursor, add spacewise to ~/.cursor/mcp.json. For Codex CLI, add it to ~/.codex/config.toml. The bridge runs via npx with zero local build steps.
Give Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex CLI storage intelligence without risking your repositories or files.
